i was busted at 103.
said sorry i was stupid etc. had no points previously.

copper said he didn't think it would be of benefit to anyone for me to go to court, so did me a fixed penalty which was a right bonus.

think if it gets referred to court, then you'll almost certainly get a ban of some sort and prolly a £200ish fine.

haven't read all of that, but he shouldn't be let off just because he is a rozzer. suppose they know all of the loop holes though.

I've heard that u just got a ban now over 100 MPH. It's just to easy to do though. I think they should at least let you off the 1st time IMO

He's completely right - he was driving safely, conditions were good and no one was exposed to undue risks through a bad driving judgement.

However, this isn't the law, and he shouldn't set this example! I'm surprised he hasn't resigned!
