hi everybody, im looking at buying a vauxhall corsa LS 1.4, 50,000 miles, P Reg for £1000. Is this a reasonable price to pay for and also how good are LS 1.4s?

i got the same...1.4 LS are the hi-torq...meaning they slower

1k is a bargain for the reg and mileage...but u gotta check for the clutch and parts of engine before buying

thanks a lot mate. what do you need to look for in the engine and clutch? this is my first time im goin to buy a car so im not sure what to look out for.

Yeah that's good price for the year/mileage. Not much will be wrong with the engine and gearbox. Not sure how long clutches last tho, (but cheap to replace). Check whether its had a timing belt change, they are recommended at 40k miles, but Vaux usually say 60k.
