No. Your not allowed to show any light other than white to the front of the car (can do white too)
With the headlights on you can't see the colour of the sidelights anyway, maybe just a hint.

never been stopped
want some green for the mondeo

I had blue ones in my Corsa B for two and a half years with no probs, it even passed the MOT at a main dealer with them fitted, although I would recommend fitting the standard lights at test time personally.
