on my Gsi? isit 90 or 100? i have a feeling its not working.

get a peice of wire and connect it straight to the battery making sure u connect the earth and live the right way round and that will tell u if the fan is actually working

we did this with the civic and worked out it must of been the part that tells the fan to come on that wasnt working so we have wired it straight to the sidelights so if she over heats again in mac d drive through we can wack the fan on through the lights

its going over 100 when in traffic, touched the red a few times. i have got water so only thing is the fan, i will test on lunch its a fukin pain havin a oldish car.

Dont drive it like that fool - you will warp the head

Get a new thermostatic switch, £3 from Vaux - and it goes on the drivers side - bottom of the radiator. Very easy to fit - if you cant do this you are retarded to the highest level

connect the earth wire to battery before the live and the fan should come on if it does its the sensor if not its ure fan

Jack the front end up and have a look - there will be a plug connected into it - you can loop the conections to keep it on all the time as Kerry said but you might as well replace it - It really is easy mate, if you have bother or cant do it buy the part and take it to a local garage, it will be a 5minute job once on the ramps.

Then you need to refill your cooling system, making sure there is no air trapped in it.

Took me about half an hour to do mine
