I've noticed over the last couple of days that my 1.2 is sounding like a 1.6. I Think I've got a problem with my exhaust.

I've had a look under the car and can see some black smoke stains on the centra box. I guess there is a small hole in it somewhere.

Questions are:

1) Can I get it looked at for free at places like Kwick Kit etc?

2) How much does a new silencer cost?

3) Can I run the car like this or is it best not to?

when i got a new silencer from CAT to back, cost £44

Kwict fit should look at it for free.

thanks for that Allan. I think I may take it to Kwick Fit this Saturday.

Shall I spend £44 on a new Cat-back or £240 on a SS centre pipe and back box system?

yeah....... the pipe leadin into the mid box (from cat side) on my car had a hole in it... and was blowing very badly!

too it to kwik fit and they got it up and had a look for me...
then i went to a place i know who does things cheap, and he done the welding for me :tumbs:

I know I want to! Thats the problem - Its like its fate or something!

Also got one eye on a 1.6 16v too
