everytime im wanting to put it in 1st gear at a junction or waiting at lights it doesnt go in at all i takes bout 5 attempts of pushin. I try it gentle but just doesnt seem to get there at all any suggestions

maybe gear linkages is messed or cluth might need raising??

clutch adjustment... mine does it, not 4 much longer hopefully

i keep taking foot off clutch and doin it again but the bugger dont budge so wot do u fink is the culprit

Try putting in 2nd 1st then up 2 1st

yeah... helps, i'm takin the new engine, gearbox, clutch and driveshaft approached, gearbox is boogered

dude its a common fault on the C , gear linkage...if ur cars under warranty get to ur local dealer to sort it.
