power gain will be negligable, sound will be negligable to, unless youve got a full straight through system aswell not really worth it unless your going for engine bay looks

I thought the manifold made a big difference when I fitted it to mine, when it was a 1.4 16v with a mantzel power box. Probably the best tuning for £160 (or £100 if you get James' Will most probably give more power than a exhaust system or induction kit.

Greg, 'chipped' isn't that much use.

Made 121bhp with the manifold, exhaust system, mantzel powerbox and a ported head.

The Nova has been sold, and is being collected soon, touch wood

Mine made a huge difference at least 10bhp plus midrange torque, but that was in combination with TBs and a full 2.25 straight through exhaust. On a std engine I doubt there will be as much of a difference. Mine is also the SBD manifold which is quite a bit more expensive, only really works properly with TBs as it is designed for them.

IT's more as a base for any futher tuning.if you get a powerbox or torque tube then it will give you more power when combined. any of them are good.

The replace parts of the inlet maniofld to give about 15% power gains. the Velos motorsport one is 285, and is similar to the one miles had on his 1.4 when it made 121bhp.

must admit mine made a big difference on how my car drove mid range and pulled alot better in 5th at motorway speeds, was a 1.4 16v. my ecu was buggered aswell so never ran it on an engine from standard to improved as the 1.6 went in with mods to it. sounds alot more tinny when its fitted, hard to explain but IMO makes the engine sound tuned, worth getting it mapped, topshot2k give me a shot if you want to get it mapped i know of a good place that map the cars cheap but very well
