hmmmm..........................
This is starting to annoy me now...........
If you take the engine all the way across the rev range but with your foot lightly on the throttle, it doesn't do it, but.................... if you are giving it a bit of stick and you do the same with your foot flat to the floor the engine seems to mis fire (like it does when head gasket goes) but if you lighten up on the throttle, it doesn't do it!!
Fuel problem??
electrical problem??
Air/fuel mix??
Lambda sensor??
only other thing is that the car does not idle very well at time, (thing idle control valve needs a clean!)
Plse help!

mine did the same, i have a dodgy wire or connection in my injector loom.
Also check ur plugs and leads for cracks or dodgy connections.

Is it just me or does there seem to be loads of problems posted on here with the conversion valvers lately???

if its miss fireing under load it could be the spark breaking down, i.e. new plugs, leads, or any other part of the ignition system??

well to be fair most of the engines are between 12-14 years old now so you got to expect it... i had quite a few teething problems but its deffo more reliable than my old 1.4 16v plus its more smiles per miles
