That is one rough sounding engine!!!
Needs new cam belt and rollers, then it should be ok... It makes this grinding and rubbing noise when it idles, other than that its ok  Only needs a few seals and a clean up - I hope

i drove nicely when i drove it back from london, its in good shape caonsidering its not really been run for a year or so

Yea, its all good, I was just a little worried about the noises under the bonnet, sounds like the rollers have stated to go on the cam belt. I may aswell replace the lot, as I don't want my head looking like the one on you LET
