Hi

I've just had some 35mm Apex springs fitted to my car (Civic not Corsa but still hope someone can help) and every time i go over any sort of bump big or small, there is a horrible clunking sound from both the front suspension area.

I'm 100% sure they are the right springs for the car coz i've checked the model number wiv the supplier....it's been checked by two garages and they can't find anything wrong wiv it

It cost me £95 to get them put on and i stand to pay the same amount to get them taken off again

Any Ideas anyone???

I've been on da phone to Apex this monirn..they've said that this problem normall happens wiv Fords. He said the noise could be the coils of the spring hitting each other,

There gonna send me a part to fit around the spring that "may solve it"

Does this sound possible or was he tellin ma a load or Kak?

Id highly recommend NOT putting anything between the coils of your springs. By using something to block the spring rather than having stiffer springs will eventually end up with either a sheared spring or perhaps worse.

If your really not happy with the springs then send them back to the company, otherwise save up for replacement "sports" shocks for your car

If i do get uprated shocks/Dampers, How will that help the problem.

Do u think maybe may car if to low for the dampers?
