by same motor, I meant on the original engine before anyone chimes in with the CTR is a different engine..

Standard CTR's have been doing the 1/4 in under 15...

I dont think you will find a CTR is quicker than an Integra R thou and definatly not quicker than an S2k

Im still laughing at the Jap crap statement.. I had Mk2 golfs for years, and they cost me a FORTUNE in bits..

with hondas, never a problem, redline it every day.. as it should be driven..

IF your dad thinks German engines are better built, he needs a different job.

Leon Cupra R. As vibs has said, easily taken to 260+bhp, better value for money than the CTR and Astra and looks better too. Great cars getting very popular now as the price is great considering what you get.

@ Jap crap, id love a jap car (with the exception of CTR, just dont like em at all) i cant believe you can call them crap.

A std ITR 1.8 does the SQM in 14.8 i believe.

I know some folk who owned a CTR and ITR 1.8 every time they raced the ITR just crept away.

My 106 Rallye holds off CTR's until the speeds become some what illegal and my SQM time is 15.074.

think you did a faster time than my 200bhp corsa as well on sunday, damm those spinning wheels and wet track.

back to topic, i would have the astra, in fact iv got one ordered will be here in 3 weeks.
first mod is to tune it up to 250bhp and then we will see how the ctr keeps up.
dont get me wrong iv owned hondas for the past 3 years ,they are shit hot but just wasnt too impressed with the ctr,,didnt see what all the fuss was about.
anyway everyone seems to have them.

DOH! Rallye Power!(or lack of)

I'm selling some Trans Auto Sport tie bar lowering brackets, that should help reduce wheelspin a bit.

They've got spherical bearings instead of bushes but you'd need longer bolts to fit them with.

why are they overated? It feels pretty quick for me for a cheap n/a fwd car. I drive an evo everyday too and the civic is far from slow although the evo will rape it ctr does have it's faults but I've had it for 2 years now and never had any problems/gripes (covered 45k miles)

Would have gone for the Leon but option was removed. Went for the Astra purely because it's turbo and not as common round here as the Civic.
