as far as i know, theres a front piece from engine, to the CAT, then the middle piece, then the back box. whats the silencer then? where does it go in this sequence?

sorry for soundin thick but ive been wantin to know for ages but too fraid to ask lol

on the cars i have had it has been from the egine back
a: manifold
b: cat
c: centre section with centre box (silencer )
d: back box (second silenced box)

some cars have the cat as part of the manifold but i believe on corsas the above is correct, any more q's gis a shout

the silenecer slows the gases down which quitens it. the faster the gases travel, the louder it is
