when you read this do you think all it needs is a new face plate???
the reason i am asking is because i had the exact same model before mine was stolen and still have the face plate so would this do the job?

yup it just needs the face plate.
I bought a pioneer unit 6400R which came with box, instructions, the unit without a faceplate cos his wife lost it
I had the faceplate for it and it worked mazin

it might have only needed a faceplate but unless u can get hold of one cheap from sum1 then they are usually very expensive (£100+ as a guideline)
in otherwords not worth it!
