you get a job through them , the buisness pays job agency , then the job agency pay you, you get taxed a bitch but claim this back once you get a proper job as you get tax rebate.

Basicly they take a cut of your pay, you have less benefits/rights and can get fired without reason if they feel like it
I wouldnt work for 1

i worked for one last month, i was set on on tuesday n laid off on the friday of the same week. I was rang up tues at 12 askin me to be there for 1. i got £4.75 an hour n got paid weekly into my bank account but had to work a week in hand. I had to be at work 4 7.30 in the mornin n finished at 4.15 all i did was examine cardboard boxes for any little faults. It was boring n tedious n im glad i got laid off.

I was going through agencys for a few years - they kept fookin me about & were always problems. Also treat you like shit, if you ring in sick one day, more than likely they'll sack your ass!

get down ur local job centre m8, they cant be beaten!
or ur local rag for local jobs!
My experience of agencies is that they tend to only ever have a few jobs avaliable (they always always advertise more than they really have) and they pay pretty poorly!

My company employ around 400/500 Iraqi's, Poles, Lithuanians, Indians, Turks and Portugese everyday through agencies. The company pay around £6.50 per hour to the agency, but the agency only pays them £2.50 per hour.
