do you take plastic lee?
and where would you source engines from? would want a little history/background on it really. wouldn't want a 90k mile engine in my 20k mile car really.

Your goin to find it hard to find a 2 litre red top with a low millage as most of them are made from 1988 to about 1992 if i am right (dont quote me ) But from what i hear most of them get better with miles and are bullet proof

yeah i figured that too. would be happy with about 60-70k i reckon.
but wouldn't want to end up with one 100k+ really.
whats the score with the x20 rather than c20? i know power is down for emmissions, but can it be brought back up to 150hp+ realtively easily? or will it always be down comparitively?

The X20XEV has about 20bhp less than the C20XE and is much harder to tune. It will also need to run a cat.
Also to fit it in a Corsa, a fair amount of work is needed doing, ie changing pulleys/belts to C20NE (8v) spec.
I'd definitely stick with a red top lump. They are hard to find without many miles on, but it's a great engine and tough as old boots. Try Eddie on 01255 670 670 for a good engine package.

I've just had my 21st folks so I've struck some cash.
I've already asked Beardy to do mine as soon as.
Dunno if he uses his own fitting kit or one of PVD's.
Also, Pete, probably be coming down to Northampton sometime soon mate, was speaking to Martin from Pipercross and he invited me down to the Warehouse for a tour & a filter I'll pop in while I'm there.

2 weeks late replying, but hey
I hope Martin hasn't hyped the Pipercross tour up too much, it's not the most exciting place about! You'll find PVD fairly close to Pipercross, literally 30 secs around the corner!
