Escort GTi's are seriously underrated, my dad had a 3 door red one and it was wicked, handled wicked and did 0-60 - 8.6 and 126mph.

the escort is ok.
my mrs has one. nice to drive not amazingly fast but sits nicely on the road and you can throw it in to bends.
No rear disk brakes tho

i dont know im thinkin about a saxo vtr, for the money im gettin a lot newer car than i am a corsa and they dont really need a lot doin bar lowered and rims

dont get a saxo I've seen quite a few after a 'mild' crash... needless to say I wasn't that impressed!
Also a lad I know, his rear window exploded when he had the rear window-heater on for about 5 mins in the cold
