think its gone theres water pissing in and I want it sorting before I sell me motor, how big a job and whats envolved I hear u have to take out the dash if thats the case I will have the body shop remove the dash and spray it and I can maybe sort the heater matrix if its easy anybody help me ? thanks Paul...

Can get the body shop to do that though mate as long as its not the head gasket i aint too bothered, got no mayo substance in the engine so hoping its not that although I am losing water ever so slightly somewhere

no its not a dasgh out job it takes around 1hr to do corsa heater matrix

i get a nice smell of coolant through the vents after the car has stood for a few days in the garage,not losing water though.

remove the parcel shelf and it can be accesed i dont refer to this very often but read the hayns manual it is quite easy to do

no to your g/f its a footrest and it gets snapped

but it can be done with the dash in its just fidly and takes a little patience

How can it be done with the dash in then I might try and do it myuself over the weekend if this motor is going to be sold I need these few daft things wrong with it sorted this weekend, as for the girlfriend comment Adan you are 100% correct my ex broke mine gutted, I had a little look today thgere is a cover there though does this have to be taken out to get to it ? many thanks for any help appreciated Paul...

There's something rattling down there, I suspect it's a screw that fell down the heater vents

Its dead easy with dash in.
Hardest part is getting the heater parts off under the bonnet especially in a 16valve

because the coolant pipe that connect to the heater matrix at the bulkhead are a bitch to get at,not impossible though.
