Im gona venture to one 2moz, what do i do, park at the side of the road, walk in and ask can i buy/have a few parts that im after
or will there be a reception type thing like.

Depends what yard is like.
1.)Some yards you will have to go in and find the part you are looking for and remove it from car then take it to a guy to pay for it.He will make up a price for you.(make sure got old clothes on)
or
2.) Will have a reception and you go in and ask for what you want then they will give you part. You pay and thats it.(best kind of yard)

I prefer the ones where I can get the parts out of cars myself. Know what your getting it from then

In 9/10 yards, u shouldnt go in until u've spoken to the reception/office and told em what ur looking for. They should be able to tell u whether or not they have a certain car in before u even bother.

It's much better if you can walk round the yard and pull the part you want off a car. That way you can get an idea of how old the car is, what it's general condition was, how badly it was prang'd before it went to scrappy, does it have the exact same engine as yours etc. If they give you a part off the shelf they may tell you it's 1 year old but you've only got their word that it didn't come off a 10-year old car.
