Do i have to have my basecoat resprayed or can i have these fllakes laquered straigh over?

the flakes are only in the laquer so shood be nae need tae dae the basecoat

it really depends on the condition of ur old paint wether it can be just sprayed on mine has gone away to have metal flakes added and as it was only sprayed the base coat last week there is no need for a respray

only need o spray the laquer, but as said depends on condition of ya paint in the first place.

If the lacquer on your old coat has gone/faded then I think its time for a respray of the base coat, or at least a blowover.

You need 2 application of lacquer too, other wise the finished surface will feel course/gritty because of the flakes.

My paint is in good condition apart from bonnet which getting badboy'd anyway so how much do you reckon having a metal flake sprayed over my car would be, roughly please, would phone bodyshop but its sunday,

so dae ye need tae pit a first layer a laquer on wae the flakes then let it dry n put normal laquer over ?am an aprentice painter bit we dont do this shit lol

No no, you would put say 2 coats of clear mixed with flakes onto the car or as many as you wanted until you were happy... then bake it, take it out the booth, flatten it down then put a second application of clear coat without flakes onto the car, bake that then flatten and polish until your as happy as a pig in shit

yesh loll jus meanin a need tae get intae sum more paints like flips n that a dont really huv a clue aboot it cept ye need a certain bascoat then is it the more paint n laquer ye put on the more it flips
