how has ur body shop done it as mine is abit wary of how i want it doing ive said can he not fibreglass across the gap then filler over n blend into body work?

mine was fibreglassed and it withstood a LOT of bashing, so its fine.

howd they manage to get the fibre glas so smooth then>? im havin to put lots of filler over as its easier to smooth than the p40 fibre glas..

i suppose when you have been doing it a long time its just easy.
They may of used fibreglass matting, im not sure

p40 - isnt fucking proper fibreglass - y does every1 think it is - its a fibreglss filler - the best way to do it is with a b-axial firbeglass matt (with resin) P40 to fill any gaps - then a skim - and I mean skim of P38 over the top

which would be better - however done with Biaxial - it shouldnt ever crack - done right - use surfce tissue as well - and the amount of p38 needed will be so small that the risk of cracking is virtully 0
if a yacht hull can be contsructed with a surfce tissue and no need to fill over the top - then Im sure that arches can be blended in the same way - and nto crack
