cud be a cut n shut jobbie coz they are buggas to remove as they're riveted on so obviously its been removed purposely... I wud never buy a car wivout that plate!!

if it aint there - then there will be a small flap on the plastic by the seat-rails on drivers & passenger side.

on drivers side, lift the flap up (you'll need a screwdriver to wedge it up) and it should be stamped on the chassis (you'll need a torch to see)

unless it was a front-ender & it was naffed up with the slam-panel - but even so any decent bodyshop would get a new one stamped up & replaced!

mot is next month looks like cars gettin scrapped ne1 no of a cheap corsa?

1.2 8v 4 speed skip im after somin a lil faster i got all the kit to put on so kit dont matter

if your scrappin it - put up a few pics of condition of car (engine bay, chassis legs, struts, front-end, b-pillars, boot, floor)

ive found the 1 by the drivers seat do u need them both for the mot

you need them both so YOU know ya aint got a stolen/cut and shut corsa, not sure if its an MOT requirment

yeah otherwise they may think its a shunt like mentioned above.

best to get a HPI done first & if it comes back that it wasnt a complete rite-off or stolen, then ring vaux & say its been in a front-ender, you've rebuilt it but the VIN plate was waisted so could you have a new one.

not sure if they will do this mind, but worth checking!

they check it against the V5 for the details. its not so much required, its just a tester will probs fail it as they can't be arsed lookin around for another VIN to check the number!
