Any info on how easy this job would be ? what else would i need to replace ? is it just the engine or will i need to change the ecu as well ?
on a budget so goin 16v route not an iption at the mo

ecu and loom, try find a c14se from an sri more juice there

Done the same transplant. Easy job, you need to change the wiring, which is a peice of piss really - all plugs and sockets

a normal 1.4... not much, but get ure grubby mits on an 8v sri engine uve got 82 bhp as standard, feels loads more upto a normal 1.4

yes i dont care what ppl say imo the sri 8v is way better than the 16v engine, torque more lower down and way more fun to drive

Its 15bhp
If you can get induction kits for £60-80 with 0bhp you can get an engine for £100 and get 15bhp right there.
Plug, you can upgrade this engine to sri spec or 16v spec at a later date and keep the low insurance group by saying the engine is the lowest power unit by using its engine code

or buy a 2.0 with 130bhp and more torque than the c20xe as standard
