there nt the same

the 16v mounts are inverted inside the chassis legs, 8v mounts are like there stuck on the chassis legs.

if your lookin at fitting a 1.4 16v lump into an 8v, utu Adam-D about when he did his 1.4 8v to a C16XE. I think he used the standard 8v mounts & removed PAS & ABS from the engine, so they fit alot better, but he still had to do a few modifications I think...

yeh mate ive done the same conversion, if u havnt got P/S u can take the left mount off and use the old one, just need to get a belt to fit then...

u also need fuel pump,change fuel end lines, cut the exhaust at the engine, new accelerator cable, new expansion bottle...
