Wanting to get my windows tinted on my Corsa C.
Now if im not mistaken there has been a change in law that restricts how dark you can go with your tints??
Is that correct and how dark can you actually go now - ive heard 35% on the front and 50% on the back??
Anybody know if this is correct or not??

You can do them as dark as you like on the back, even opaque. The fronts are something like 35% but they woulnd't tell us otherwise.

From the 1st January 2004 it is now illegal to have any form of window tinting film fitted forwad of the B pillar on your car. This applies to cars who had thier windows tinted before that time too (notice the wording). The Police will pull you over and give you 10 days to remove the tints, then you will have to have it checked again to make sure you have complied. As for the rear windows - behind the B pillar - you can have them as dark as you like. If you want you can paint the windows black

Yea, it's a bit annoying, I wanted mine tinted too The only people you can blame are feloow modified car drivers, who tinted thier windows excessively, making thier car dangerous. One case, which prompted the government to make the cange in the law was where a car hit a motorbike because the cars windows were so dark they couldn't even see out.
