ICV - dunno what it is on the GSI but when i had my 1 litre i had to replace it because it was a solnoid and couldnt be cleaned

Check the vacuum hoses around the inlet manifold, if they are holly that may do it.

could also be dirty air mass sensor (clean with carb cleaner) or just possibly dodgy coolant temp sensor

or possibly a loose engine mount, my front one came loose. it knocked at start up and gave serious vibes throught the car at tickover.
