If the manufacturer of the sub recomends to do it, then give it a go because it can overload the sub and make it break easier....

it makes the sub think its in a bigger box than it is, kinda like the Tardis

yep, its best do because as corb says, it makes the sub think its in a bigger box. the reason it does this is because the wadding in the box slows the air movement down inside the enclosure. it made a huge difference to mine

but, there are trade offs, the wadding moves quite quickly, and the fibres heat up, which in turn, makes the sub work under higher temperature operating conditions.

yeah stuff it mate i stuffed mine with the inside of a pillow and it sounds top. I have also just put some thicker 'phoniex gold' wiring on the sub and the difference is unreal. It is more punchy. It is that punchy that when i got out of the car with the music playing the licsence plate was vibrating like crazy. But yeah i would stuff it.
