Ive got all the parts needed to convert my manual sunroof to electric from a Cav Turbo. I decided to buy an Astra sport surround as it looks better and is a neater fit.

However, the bracket that supports the motor in the Cav doesn't fit the Astra surround.

Can it be modified to fit? Do I need to get a different bracket?

As you can see the bracket is to wide to fit the Astra surround and even if it wasn't as wide the motor would still be in the wrong postion.

Please Help...

The Cav surround is a very poor fit and its to big as well. The Astra surround looks like it was made for a Corsa

Yes, but the Astra suround can still be used and I've seen pictures of it. I just need to know what to do about the bracket.

Not sure if the motor's would fit into a C. I got the conversion kit off ebay.

you can get everything you need for the conversion for bout 20 quid from a scrappy, thats if you can find one.

you don't need the metal bracket

when you remove the manual bit there are 2 extra holes in the assembly that the electric motor screws straight into

the cav panel fits but looks
