Without going into it I was sacked today for what the council saw as theft, a lot of you know about it cos I put a post up 4 weeks ago when I was suspended anyway I am going to be going into business with my brother doing block paving patios driveways fencing all that kinda thing, anyways the next few weeks I am going to be needing some cash from Mr Blair to tide me over either till I find a decent job or get my company up and running with either decent backing from the bank manager or cash of me own.
Basicallyi wanna know what I can apply for from the government and what I can actually get seen as though I have been paying a lot od hard earned cash into the tax pot for the last 7 years of my life I dont see why I shouldnt get some back when the government are giving imigrants cash left right and centre, Regards Paul...

I borrowed 8 edging kerbs from a job for 1 day and some fucker grassed me up even though I had intention to put them back they class it as theft and gross misconduct so my untarnished 7 years I had there is now over

well the police were informed but did not press charges apparantly due to the fact the council were doing it in house, and although Ihave the reciept and I did put them back this is the route of action they have to take

You can't really go to your union because at the end of the day hun you were in the wrong for taking the stuff in the first place, regardless of wether you had the intention of putting it back.
Surely you might be able to appeal because you were there for 7 years, and everyone makes mistakes?

Well I am in the union and had a representative there with me today and he said it stinks basically cos he reckons it was all planned before we even went in there today, to cut a long story short about 12 months back a new management team was brought in to cut sick and get rid of as many people as possible they have managed to get rid of at least 15 employees and cut sick which is obviously good for them but they do treat the employees like sh!te

nope you can't claim anything unless you have chirlden and you don't get a peeny for a week or two until they process, your claim. if you live with a parthner with no kids she also will get means tested for your benfits
but as you got sack they do not give you anything for something like 6 weeks as its your own fault
