just got my broadband router and having trouble setting up the internet sharing on it. set it all up for dhcp so followed the wizard set all pcs to obtain a ip and they did but the internet didnt work on either machine

any help would be greatly apprecatied!

I suggest using the Home network wizard and choosing "this machine belongs to a network that DOESNT have an internet connection , then it will network all the machines and it will find the DHCP address anyway.

this works every time

ok make sure all of the pcs you are setting up are set to DHCP and maybe set their default gateway to that of the routers IP.

both pcs r networked and can ping each other and the dns server so doubt that would get the internet on both machines

just been having another lil play with it think the problem is the router wont connect to the modem which is why both pcs r networked together and cant connect to the internet so any ideas how to connect the modem and router would be great all it says all the time is connectin
