If you did 53mph in a 30mph zone then I think you've come off bloody lightly. There's no excuse for that kind of speed. 35ish can be forgiven but 53 takes the piss. I think you should have been given a good ban and a heafty fine - maybe that would make you think next time?!

Or maybe except the punishment and quit wasting the court's time so they can deal with real crime
