Has anyone or you know anyone that have put 6x9's in the rear side panels? Will it be a good idea or not? And do u reckon they will fit?
Does anyone know how much dynamat cost? for front doors and rear side panels?

Not a difficult job I've been told.
Not dun it myself mind but neva mind.
U'd be better off puttin some 5 inch coaxs in instead i think as 6x9s like to use the whole of the boot for air.

I hope they do!
I got a pair of 6x9 from my last car and i put them in the front doors, they sound quite gud! and I don't really want to put them on the rear shelve cos i want the space in the boot.

They will fit, but you will need to reinforce the panel with wood, and dynamat both interior panel and outer metal work, preferably 2 layers on each.
I was gonna do this but sold my 6x9's in the end.

seats need to come out as far as i remeber, it wont be a quick job mate, and you will need a LOt, 6-8 rolls of dynamat to do both sides properly.

you only use dynamat if things are vibrating. most of the time you can bodge it but stuffing foam or roof insulating in things - its cheaper. just take it from your attic

LOL stuffing foam in ha ha....
Dynamat is good to apply everywhere, my doors didnt rattle as such, but now with them dynamated properly it souinds a lot better, hard to explain how, just more full sound.
And you may as well not bother as use roof felt etc.. there crap and just make a big mess.

Dynamat retails at £25 a roll for extreme.
By the bulk pack (9 rolls for £150) from caraudiodirect.co.uk an it works out around £17 a roll. You can easily use 9 on your front doors and the rear quarters.

well i reccomend dynamat, if you put enuff in you WILL notice a difference, especially if you do inside wheel archs, certain floor panels etc.. to cut out road noise

I've put dynamat in the front speakers doors and the stuff really works, it stops the vibrating and sounds better!
I not done the 6x9 cos i need the tools to do it, to get the panels off. got half of the nuts off but there a few that i can't reach!!
So do u think i should dynamat behind the panels and on the metal work as well? going to put blocks of wood behind the nuts when i fit them.

yeah id do metal and panel if you are mounting the speaker to the panel, if you are mounting the wood to the metal then no need.

I could do it but he is no where near me.
Its not a hard job, just time consuming making the mounts thats all.
