... and ask what on earth TRACTOR PULLING is?!
or is this just some strange bizzare lancashire thing?
had to pick the sisters boyfriend up from watching it last night, in his Nissan pick up.

^ Thats a tractor...
Diff varieties, using different engines, some use four or five v8s strapped together, others will use a gas turbine from an aircraft.
Basic idea is to pull a sledge along a muddy track - a weight on the sled moves forward as the tractor progresses down the course, increasing the pulling force needed. Aim is to reach the other end of the dirt strip, which is then known as a "Full Pull"...
Still confused? Think dragsters mixed with tractors...

i remember it being on bravo or rapture tv ages ago (one of those type channels anyways) and some bloke had strapped two helicopter engines to a tractor, which fired out around 3000bhp+ into the back wheels
Ive never seen a lump of concrete go so quickly in one direction

I used to watch this on tv sometimes, would love to see it for real! Bet those things sound amazing, and cos they got weights on them, you can actually see them properly!
