remember someone tellin me the c20xe's are common for this problem, there was a way to stop it, not just change the gasket, but somethin else aswell as the gasket,

just cant remember what it was

Change the gasket, they are about £5 and will take you half an hour or less to do it.

gaskets are about £15 each and theres 2. will take around an hour or so as manifold has to come off etc theres no much u can do thou. if u change it leave the sealer to go off for at least 12 hours before u fill it with oil

hmm i need a new sump aswell so ill make sure i let it seal before filling with oil

Using the 2.0 8V baffle plate and gasket it makes it much easier.

Half an hour my ass, its a right pain of a job.

I'd also advise you get a m6 tap and clean all the block threads out, use a torque wrench and thread lock.

u can use an x20xev gaskett and then use shorter sump bolts the x20 gaskett is alot better as it have the baffle plate riveted to the gaskett nd the gaskett is rubber as opposed to cork
