I got a Flat spot when my revs hit about 5k and goes on till about 5.5k
Any ideas what this could be?
I've changed the inlet manifold and have a full exhaust with de-cat along with a induction kit.
The induction kit is in the bottom half of my airbox with cold air feeds.
Do you think its the filter??
Any help...cheers.

yeah because you have changed the dynamics of the engine, you will suffer flat-spots from mis-firing, fuel/air starvation or something along those lines.

regal one, the manzel one then? you just disconnect the battery for a while connect it up let the car run for a while and then drive it

Could also be ur induction kit causing the flat spot. Clean it, give it more cold air or whatever....see if it helps.

nah that wud be the case if it had say a battery backup in operation, but corsas dont have anything like this installed so 5 mins is more than enough!

resetting the ECU doesn't do anything...
teh ECU is constantly learning/adapting to the conditions of the engine.
if anything, getting it mapped properly with a UniChip will give best results, but with any engine work, you always sacrifice drive-ability at times for power & so-on.

Yeah, but when the flat spot is right near to the power band at 5k onwards its not to good.
The car accelerates good and smooth right to 5k where it seems to hold back.... untill it reaches 6k and its rapid again.
So annoyin like.

Mine Corsa C had a flat spot so i took it to the local tuning garage who then set up tha diagnostics and it was perfect after that. Only cost £35. Worth giving your local garage a call. Hope this helps.

what engine is it mate?
5.5k rev is PEAK power on a C16xe!!! so a flat spot their is really bad and not helping!
its likely you ned to get it mapped and uni-chipped so the engine runs well with the mods!
but it shoudnt cause a flat spot like that!... im pretty sure your induction kit in your air box is causing a restriction of air flow! so get rid of the air box completely and put at least 2 air feeds to it then see how it goes
