they sent my renewal through and i called them to put my bodykit etcetc onto the quote.. and they said it wouldnt cost anymore.

(Full bodykit & Alloys)

so i said ok how much for an engine conversion.......

wait for it...

LV - what engine you planning to put in it?
ME- 2.0i conversion
LV - that wouldnt cost anymore on your quote..

then i just went back though it with themm..

so i could have a 2.0i conversion for no extra cost..

Insurance companies record all convesations - as i found out with barclays who quoted me on sum1 who was in there fities rather thn myself who was 19 - even tho i had repeatedly given them my date of birth for the security checks etc
when they had realised there mistake they quoted me something crazy like £3500 but i told them i had bought the car on the strength of the insurance quotation as i knew i could afford it etc as u do... anyways spoke to the manager who went through the recordings and they had to give me the insurance and the first price quoted just over £1200 as what i had told them was true

so Chris_UK get back onto the insurance company and get them to go through recordings and then get it in writing

yes be careful with liverpool victoria.
when i changed my insurance details last week to my vtr, they said it would be £360 extra on my premium, got the details through in writing 2 days later and they had insured me on a vts.
phoned up to say and they change it again and my premium was only £80 extra.
they do f**k up at times.

This is true, I had a quote come through at £100ish over what I had been quoted over the phone, phoned back to say this isn't right, got through to the duty manager who said he would investigate and recieved a new quote a few days later as well as a phone call saying he had replayed the conversation and can confirm my original quote and that the operator in question has been dealt with.
I felt bad about this, as I took "dealt with" to mean sacked! And that was a bit harsh!
