i have recently bought a c20xe and the air flow metre is also fuckd, if u look down the tube you can see a coil, bit like a light buld, well mine has snapped i presume this is how they all break, just fatigue after time, all i can suggest is go look round the scrappies take it off and check the coil to see if its broken or not, i have managed to pick one up for 15pounds so i still have a stiffy.

a lot of people call them air flow meters, rather than mass air things... anyway - mine's fucked at the moment and my old one was fucked that I replaced...

They go quite often on 1.2 16vs

I'm on my 2nd one and it's fucked too, was only a reconditioned replacement tho (£25 deleivered or something) so will probably just do that same again.

Erm... carb cleaner is supposed to DAMAGE the hot wire element in air mass meters!!!!!

That's why with 10k Boost they tell you to spray it after any sensors/meters.

Normally when people claim the airfilter they've fitted has damaged their air mass meter, it's actually the excess oil they sprayed on that's go onto the element and caused it to burn itself out.
