If you park it facing upm a hill it looks higher, park it facing down a hill and it looks lower. On the flat its somewhere in the middle This is because of the torsion bar suspension on the back. When the handbrake is on the weight of the vehicle makes the wheel turn slightly, but as it can't turn on the axel (because of the brake) the suspension rises or falls slightly. It looks a bit daft because i park mine on a slope when im in town and it looks like a 4x4 but it means its slightly more level if ur sitting in it on a hill

Don't suppose you know anything about lowering the torsion bar, do you Claire? I've read about it, but I wanna find someone who's done it to talk to.

You can lower the rear fairly easily but if you want it done properly it has to be removed and then put back lower than standard.

Nice cars. I had one as a courtesy car and was quite nippy.

Only thing that bugged me was the bloody wipers going the wrong way!

Good luck with it

Ha a 206 as my first car. Typical French build but they look really good, haven't aged at all.

I would agree that the build quality could be better but It's nothing serious on the 206 really. The only thing that winds me up is having to change the front anti roll bar links every other service which takes the piss a little. Other than that it is mainly just little rattles here and there but nothing worse than a corsa!! The driving experience is all together better than a lot of other cars IMO. You feel in controll and they feel very sure footed but it's easy to make it step out if you are in the mood
