Does anybody know what type of transducer is needed for a astra 1990 8v digi dash, this is the one with a peek and not half arch rev counter?

Er ya in a bit of bother there, see there is i think 4 types of transducer and you wont know what one you will need to you plug it in, when ya buy them you should always ask for the transducer off the same car and 5inches of loom

Best and cheapest thing you can do is to flog the dash and buy another WITH the transducer.

Or if you currently have an electronic speedo in the Corsa, you can get away with not having the Astra transducer.

Where to on the gearbox does this transducer go to I`ll proberly pick one up at the local scrappy and try a few.

Waiting to get my car still mate but want every thing sorted before hand.
Will be getting a 1.2 or 1.4 8ver so it will be either a Merit LS or flair kinda price range.
Im guessing all of the above are cable fed?

Yes, looks like its gonna be cable fed then, your gonna need the transducer.
