Looking for a part time job as im a student, carphone warehouse have a job advertised, it says 4.20 an hour but the commission usually doubles it working out at about 8.20 an hour. This seems fairly unlikely, ive never been in a job with commission before, does this seem believable??

well its a bastard mate, unless your good at selling stuff - so you usally turn into one of the cocks that doesnt leave a customer alone to browse for themselves. But yea, if your good at selling stuff mate, go for it

If you are only doing part time hours, you'll find it hard to make a lot from commission. I don't know what CPW's commission rates are like, but here's a comparison with what I get from Orange:
Doing 8 hours/week across a month I usually get about £50-70 commission
Doing 25 hours/week across a month I can get between £200-300 commission.
Orange's commission is miserly though, so CPW may be much more. Lucky because I work in a busy shop in a rich area, so selling is no problem.
