take champagne on an aeroplane? Guessing it will be fine in hand lugage as the cabin is pressurised but what about hold luggage? we were pondering it down the pub last night and not sure if it would explode in the hold as it's not pressurised i don't think? anyone know?

Yeh, or you could just drink it before you get on the plane, and buy her a nice bottle when you arrive

40 quid ?!!?!?!? you get that down your local happy shopper
no offence, but 40 smacker-roos doesnt buy you a decent bottle of champagne...you need to look into the hundreds, well early hundreds atleast - like a bottle of Henri Giraud, which is only 100 odd quid and its pretty good Krug Clos du Mesnil is a bloody good bottle and so Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé is also not bad, but both of these are around the 200 to 300 quid a bottle

and yes im lucky enough to know some wealthy friends, whos parents drink this stuff like water, and when your offered a few glasses of Krug (at 380 quid a bottle) your not really gonna say no
