copied from http://www.diabetes.org.uk

The main symptoms of diabetes are:
increased thirst
going to the loo all the time – especially at night
extreme tiredness
weight loss
genital itching or regular episodes of thrush
blurred vision.

Type 2 diabetes develops slowly and the symptoms are usually less severe. Some people may not notice any symptoms at all and their diabetes is only picked up in a routine medical check up. Some people may put the symptoms down to 'getting older' or 'overwork'.

Type 1 diabetes develops much more quickly, usually over a few weeks, and symptoms are normally very obvious.

In both types of diabetes, the symptoms are quickly relieved once the diabetes is treated. Early treatment will also reduce the chances of developing serious health problems.

testing to see if you have Type1 diabetes is quick. go to your Docs if your worried.

Type2 is somthing that older people get although scientists think that younger people will start to develop type 2 now due to the amount of young obese people we know have in the world

mate if ur really concerned, go to doc and he will reccommend a fasting blood sugar.

If u drink lots of coke ect then that will cause you to be tired, trust me i used to be like it all the time, and now its pretty much safe to say that im a diabetic.

My 3yr old nephew is diabetic. Has to have blood taken from his finger many times throughout the day to test his blood sugar level and has to have 2 insulin injections a day.
He was ill and it took the doctors months and months to find out he was diabetic, he very nearly fell into a coma because of it. A boy of his age should have a blood sugar level of around 4 and his was 46. Good 'ol docs.

I think i've got diabetes too.

I'm always thirsty (drink loads of juice/pop), always extremely tired regardless of amount of sleep i've had, and regularly have blurred vision. Weight loss isn't/hasn't been an issue because i've been underweight all my life.

Never bothered with the doctors though, doesn't concern me that much. Just one of those things you have to live with...
