to get a loan of around 2k at 17? i passed my test today but i need £1600 to insure my car and i havnt got any cash at all and if i do save it will take me till march

If you need £1600 then why do you need a loan of £2k? Anyhow, the only people who would loan you money at your age is parents or family I guess - how about paying monthly for the insurance?

Just finance the insurance?

I wouldn't get a loan for it over 2 years, you'll still need insurance next year but still be paying for this one.
