have got calibra (ATE) calipers and discs with new pads in. also goodridge braided lines.

they are adequate when you mash the pedal down quite hard, but there is no real bite untill you get below half travel or so.

i joined the vacuum pipe from the inlet to the servo with a coupling when replacing the engine, could this be a problem or is it something else?

gona have them blead again i think, but wondered if anyone had any ideas?

also the coupling is just a 12mm-12mm straight with olives and i *think* hose inserts. it shouldn't leak, but is definately a possibility. may try something different tomorrow.

mine r really spungy to matey i think i got the same prob but mine dont leak u can tell how it does by pulling the lil black pipe off the servo if it hisses there is no leak ,but if it dont there is a leak it might be your back brakes as have u got braided hoses on the back or could be the master cylinder as i have done all this on mine 2,0 16v but they r still shagged i just got to change the master cylinder now to see if it is that lol

it's got braided lines front and back.
fluid was bled when the brakes were fitted, but it's possible they weren't done properly.

if the vacuum pipe isn't leaking, then i'll have them bled again.
i can't see anything leaking anywhere. possibly worth looking at the master cylinder.
