fuel is getting through no probs, turns over like normal just wont fire up!
will have to c if beardy has a spare ecu to bring with him to c if it is that!

thats no use then, are there fuses to protect the ecu?? have not checked for a spark off the dizzy yet! not really an engine man so dont know wot i am doing in that department really

Yea, in the fuse box there is the big main fuse and i'm sure there will be another on there specially for the ECU - somone may correct me.
Get a spare spark plug and connect it to each of the HT leads coming out of the engine and ground the sparkplug by resing it against the block or head, get somone to turn it over and look for a spark - just incase you didn't know

Just make sure you check for the right version, there are two different versions of Motronic, and the looms are specific for each version. If you get the other version to what you have you will need the matching loom
