I've decided to amp up my front infinity components.Stipped down the drivers side panels yesterday to get to the door connection plug But instead of putting a brand new cable straight to the components from the amp, i decided to cheat and just use the standard wire inside the door and connect the new wire upto this under the ecu.Ive only just realised that the standard vaxuall cable might not be able to cope with the current from the amp causing a loss in sound quality?, wrong gauge wire maybe i'm getting sound.....and the difference is brilliant....just need this clearing up thanks

now doing that may lose a bit of quality
but-- i did that
if you have time you can run it throu the plug in the door it just takes time thats all

tbh, i doubt you will notice any difference mate
however saying that, i would rather spend the extra hour or two and drill the multiplug and run a single cable from the amp to the crossover etc

I put wires running from my doors to the amp in the boot, its much better with thicker wire but is on show when you open the door

did you take the old vauxall wiring and connection hub out? i have and am now left with 2 big holes which should have grommits on where the old loom went through...the wire shows on mine too...with no water-proofting either on both sides of entry holes into side panal and door....

i opted to take out everything between the door & and main frame holes and just have a lone cable running straight through. It works, sound quality is great....well was great....as my amp has now bust! (gain knob caved in) snapping it completely of its circuit inside!....never again infinity amps
