drivin my car last night n battery light came on, sounds to me like i need a new alternator, but is it safe to drive it durin the day?

it will drive fine but after a short while your battery will go dead and thats when your buggered.
you chuck to see if the alternator belt has snapped or something?

i not know how to do that, just u2u adam d he has an alternator for my car 4 sale like but needed to go sumwhere today thats all?!?

open the engine compartment and check if the altenator has a belt on it.
its at the drivers side of the engine bay.
as mentioned above if you drive it the battery will go flat and u will be calling the AA...

so its a def no go! wait till the fella gets in? i think i'll just call the garage get them to sort it out for me, its my dads mate who runs it so he'll only charge me wot it cost him to do it! cheers for advice tho!
