I cannot speak for Scotland in it's entirety, but Glasgow definately has a high chav population. No doubt attributed to the fact that it's one of the most depressing places on earth, and due to the high unemployment rate, people have nothing better to do than drink cider and have an even worse command of the English language than they do normally.
