Serious answers plz

Heard diff answers from diff people:

Im putting a gsi cump C16XE into my corsa and takin out the 1.4 8v engine, i have a gsi which im takin the engine out then scrapping the shell so will the engine just swap straight over or will i have to get new mounts to what im taking out of the gsi??

no swap everything you have on the gsi over, cant go wrong really

8v and 16v mounts are different i belive?

Yea mart thats wot i heard, altho i will have the mounts off the gsi to go on mine i heard the car is diff to will need to change other things, i aint a clue and dont wanna put engine in then realise its wrong lol

use the mounts off the 8v on the 16v lump... goes straight it then, lose the power steering, also makes life easier

yeah the mounts swap, ive got an x16 lump sat here with 1.4 8v mounts on it

as said before use the drivers side mount off the old engine onto the c16xe..

u will also need to doctor the altenator..... cos you more than likely wont be using power steering and the c16xe will have a poer steering pump fitted.

use the cat off the gsi to...

get the belt, pulley and tensioner off a 16v sri, an early one

this may also be possible......think thats the way adam d done it...

its impossible to find a 16v sri over here so i had to get my own bracket made up....
