omg, was drivin thru town today just after it had been raining, and i thought it went away.
THEN it came back...FULL ON HORRIBLE NOISE FROM THE ENGINE ITS LIKE A SQUALIN NOISE. i cant think of the right word to describe it, apart from fookin annoying.
any idea what it is?!

a lot of difference
cambelt is toothed so if that slips you engine goes bye bye
yours is the, drivebelt/fanbelt same thing its the belt that drives the alternator its only about £5 from halfords its not hard to fit either

yeh as said it 99% your fanbelt (aux belt) quite a few names for it 10min job too change 2

Drive belt/Auxillery drive belt/alternator belt/fan belt. get a new one from halfords or somewhere, loosen the aternator, take the old one off, clip the new one on and tension the alternator and tighten. should be about 5mm movement when you puch on the belt with reasonable force.
