How do I do this? There used to be a thingie on my old V5, but the one which came back when I registered the colour change is totally different...

you can get a form from the post office fill it in and send it to them

To SORN you need a V890 from which you can get from the post office or download from the DVLA site
alternatively you can use the SORN box on your V11 (Tax reminder)

http://www.dvla.gov.uk/forms/pdf/v890.pdf

To un-SORN the car you simply need to tax the car again.

Remember though, if you sell the car then the SORN becomes void

Can you tell I work in the DVLA?

Ok, it is official. The DVLA are the definition of wanker. For gods sake, I spend 10 mins going through thier automated system only to be cut off when I get told I am being forwarded to a real human.
